I have long admired Lagondas, and enjoy your website a lot. I would like to perhaps buy a Lagonda some day. One question I have, not having sat in one, is how much headroom do they have? I am quite tall, and headroom is a limiting factor with many cars I like. I own a 1988 Merdedes-Benz S-class with a sunroof that I barely have enough headroom in. I don't fit in a Jaguar XK8. Also if headroom is lacking would it be possible to modify the seat base to lower the seat in the car? These might sound like odd questions, but I had my mind set on an XK8 until I found out that I don't fit. So there is no use dreaming of a Logonda, if I can't posibly fit in one. Thank you, Blair

I have seen tall owners of these cars.
I suggest you sit in one yourself to find out. There is a degree of adjustment in the seat.

I don't understand what my question has to do with architecture.
By the way I would love to sit in one to try it on for size, but there probably isn't one within a thousand miles of where I live.

I recently sat in a DB7 and my head was touching the roof! I am just 5' 10" so I am not all that tall - must be my short legs. I would also like to have an answer to this question. The seats don't have height adjustment.

I have a US spec LHD Lagonda, and I'm 6'1" tall. Although there is no height adjustment on the seats, there is enough headroom for me (its not generous, mind!) The Lagondas are actually rather small inside compared with what you expect from such a large car. I was once asked to provide the car for a freinds wedding until it was pointed out that the back doors don't open that far and a bride with full skirt would struggle somewhat to get herself installed. And just dont talk to me about the boot! Far too much fuel tank and spare tyre,if you ask me...
Nothwithstanding the fact that there isn't even a glove compartment in my car (does anyone have one?) I have squeezed me, my wife, both inlaw parents, nephew in a baby seat AND luggage in the car all in relative comfort. Mother in law was very complimentary, nephew less so judging by the crisps, sticky paw prints and juice stains he left behind.
I hope you do manage to get hold of one of these extraordinary cars. Yes, they are thirsty, fickle and ish small inside, but fire that V8 up, and nothing turns heads like it.
